Esthétiques féministes transmodernes au théâtre : Elena Garro, Verónica Musalem et Conchi León : perspective critique sur l’histoire du théâtre européen et mexicain

Abstract : This research work intends to establish a dialogical relationship between theatrical studies and the conceptual proposals of the Modernity/Coloniality/Decoloniality group, complemented by feminist approaches. The aim is, first of all, to see to what extent these proposals can offer new perspectives on the past and present dramatic works, but also on the analytical tools and methodologies of theater research. Secondly, it is a question of seeing how the theater, in turn, can contribute to the field of decolonial and feminist studies. More particularly, this research work - assuming that in art all forms are ideological, and validating the hypothesis of a patriarchal modernity/coloniality theorized by decolonial studies - seeks, first of all, to what extent theatrical forms can be the fruit of this modernity/coloniality whose ideology they renew. To do so, I reread the history of European and Mexican theater, since the sixteenth century, through the decolonial prism, thus attempting to see how some canonical forms, major trends, or great movements of these theaters can be modern and colonial. Then, through the study of a corpus composed of plays by Elena Garro, Verónica Musalem, and Conchi León, I try to think about the modalities of dramatic works that are not modern, without being postmodern, works that I then call trans modern and feminist. The study of such a body of work is also part of the desire to constitute a theatrical heritage, with three Mexican authors in the spotlight.
