La violence fraternelle existe : ne la banalisons pas !

Abstract : Sibling violence is a rare research subject, perhaps because it is common and inherent to sibling relationships. It would however be more common than violence between parents and children or between spouses, and its short, medium and long term pathogenic consequences are well known to clinicians. This article contributes to the reflexion by gathering available data about the definition of sibling violence, its prevalence, development processes, functions, theoretical models, as well as its psychopathogenic consequences. Finally, the article highlights the limits of current researches.
