Entre réseaux et territoires, des mobilisations multiscalaires pour le développement : Réseaux migratoires et communes rurales dans la région de Kayes, Mali

Abstract : Between Social Networks and Territories, Multilevel Mobilizations for Development. Migration's Social Networks and "Rural Communes" in the Kayes Area, Mali As a border territory, the Kayes area, located in Western Mali has long been forgotten by the State. In this place of emigration: its residents based abroad have been engaged for several years in social development, through projects aimed at their home villages. This paper proposes a synchronic reading of different forms of mobilisation. On the one hand, that of migrants acting from a distant location. On the other hand, that of the State, which, through an administrative reform proposes to re-endow with meaning the issue of territorial propinquity.
