Les vestiges solutréens des collections Dubalen et de Laporterie

Abstract : The re-evaluation of the Solutrean lithic assemblages discovered during the first excavations at Brassempouy gives us the opportunity to describe lithic tools evocative of at less 2 distinct stages of the Solutrean: Protosolutrean and Recent Solutrean. Despite its reduced size, this corpus also enables to make connection between other sites as, for instance, the Harpons cave in Lespugue (Hte Garonne). Finally, the presence of one shouldered point of Atlantic type confirms the originality of this Pyrenean foothills site.
