Le site de Blanzac-Porcheresse (Charente, France) : un ensemble funéraire des Ve-VIe siècles en Aquitaine

Abstract : During the winter 2011/2012 took place archeological excavation in the municipality of Blanzac-Porcheresse (Charente, France) within the framework of the high-speed line “Sud-Europe Atlantique” linking Tours to Bordeaux. The site shows a large chronological occupancy with particularly an important settlement during the antiquity and the beginning of the Middle Ages. The purpose of this presentation regards more specifically a cemetery from the second part of the 5th century and the beginning of the 6th century. Many metal objet and glass pearl have been found and the combined study of them, together with the human remnants study showed a limited occupancy in time of a gothic population.
