Les Siwaliks du Népal central : Structure et géomorphologie d'un piédmont en cours de déformation (The central nepalese siwaliks : structure and geomorphology of an upheaveling piedmont)

Abstract : The différenciation of the Siwaliks' geomorphological units, in the Central Nepal, is closely related to their piedmont's strains and to the fact that folded structures are leaning over southwards. The northern reliefs are the older ones ; their southern slopes were truncated by these erosion processus that are common on pediments. It is asserted that the tectonic strains and deformations are still going on and that the southern folded structures are overthrusted on the Terai recent Quaternary deposits.
