Une trajectoire culturelle originale pour les sociétés du sud-ouest français entre 23,5 et 20,5 ka cal. BP ? Réflexions à partir de la séquence solutréo-badegoulienne du Cuzoul de Vers (Lot, France)

Abstract : In France, the beginning of the Last Glacial Maximum (circ. 23.5 ka cal. BP) comes along with the advent of new cultural trends. Indeed, stratigraphic and radiochronologic data show the disappearance of the Solutrean traditions and their replacement by the Badegoulian ones. Seeming relatively abrupt, this phenomenon has been considered as a real cultural “drift” on the basis of typological and technological analysis. The objectives of our works is (1) to discuss the reality of this shift and (2) to give a new insight into this problematic through a techno-economical approach in the aim to discuss the sociology of these past populations. By basing our works on the solutreo-badegoulian sequence of Le Cuzoul de Vers (Lot, France), we propose an evolutionary model through an integrate approach including the confrontation with the other available regional data.
