La spécialisation internationale touristique et le changement climatique

Abstract : Climate change is a current phenomenon which effects’ have consequences that affect the economy in general and the tourism sector in particular. The economy is guided by several theories of international specialization including the theory of absolute advantage, the theory of comparative advantage, factor endowments and the theories of product life cycle and tourist destination. These theories cannot be modified in substance but can be, as the case may be, reinforced or challenged by the analysis of climate change. This study will analyze the current climate change situation and its effects, as well as medium and long-term forecasts. In parallel with the study of these forecasts, an analysis will focus on the situation of tourist flows and receipts in order to establish a comparison of these data by climatic zone. From this information and a detailed study of the theories of international specialization, it will be possible to understand which theories are emphasized by climate change analysis and tourism and which ones are challenged.
