La valorisation de la diversité à travers l’action éducative muséale : le cas du musée du quai Branly

Abstract : This paper aims to understand the way diversity is reflected in the educational activities of the quai Branly museum in Paris, France. A case study has been conducted through semi-structured interviews with museum professionals and teachers visiting the museum with their pupils. The study has been completed through observations of educational activities in the museum and through the analysis of official museum documents. The results show that there is a gap between theory and practice regarding the promotion of existing diversity among student-visitors during the museum's educational activities. This confirms previous studies of citizenship education in educational contexts.
